How to Install an Operating System on a Virtualizor Unmanaged VPS

Using the VPS Control panel you can install a fresh copy of your operating system (OS) or change to a different operating system on an unmanaged VPS that uses the Virtualizor administration interface. This article provides step-by-step instructions.

You can install a new OS or reinstall an OS on an Unmanaged VPS that uses the Virtualizor administration interface all through A2 Hosting’s Customer Portal. The process is outlined below: 

1. Log in to the Customer Portal.
   If you do not know how to log in to the Customer Portal, please see this article.
2. On the top menu bar, click SERVICES, and then click MY SERVICES:

   

3. On the My Products & Services page, locate your Unmanaged VPS, and then click the Manage button:
   

   

4. On the Manage page, scroll down to Install, which is in the VPS Information section which is under Server Information.

5. From here, you will select the OS you would like installed on your VPS. After you’ve selected the OS you would like installed (or reinstalled,) type in a new password and click Reinstall:
   

   

6. You will receive the following prompt before reinstalling the OS, click Ok:

8. The installation process might take a few minutes. Once the installation process is complete, you will be redirected to the same Manage page for your VPS. To verify that you have successfully reinstalled the right OS, look under VPS Information:
